Foundations for Creating Better Photos
Learn your Camera, Get out of Auto Mode and Create with Intent. Welcome to Camera 101; foundations for creating better photos.
This isn't your typical workshop looking at a presentation of photos whilst analysing shutter speeds and f-stops, this isn't looking at photoshop images, this isn't about using Auto Mode.
This is building block type workshop that will break down the principles of Exposure and Composition into something we can understand and use when shooting everyday.
Exposure - We'll look at the basics of Shutter Speed, ISO and Aperture then get into their relationship and how you can use them to your advantage. Do you know what a stop is?
Composition - Starting with simple rules you'll learn to balance your photos, we'll go more advanced and dive into lenses to understand compression and distortion.
Controlling your Camera - Do you really know how to control all the aspects of your camera? Different setups work for different people, i'll show you how I work and other ways you can.
Create with Intent - Chances are you've already taken some great photos, could you take it again? Could you make it better? Rather than relying on pot-luck we'll learn to intentionally create photos.
What do you need? - Just your camera and one lens. It doesn't matter which lens, it could you the 18-55 you got with the camera, it could be a prime lens. You don't need to understand any technical aspects of photography before you attend this workshop.
Where, When & How Much? - We'll be shooting around Castlefield nearish Manchester City Centre. The workshop will be held on Sunday the 29th of January from midday until 5.
The best thing about this workshop is the cost, it's free.
There are only 8 places available, get in touch with an email to secure your place and for more details.
